Today I tested my car using 2 wheel drive and no chasis and it was slower. Using 4 wheel drive gives the car more power and makes it go faster. The best set up is No chasis, 4 wheel drive, and Nickel Cadmium batteries.
Tested the Nickel Cadmium again with the chasis removed and it was faster. Although throughout the test the batteries were getting weak at its peak it was the fastest out of the rest. Next class I will test out rear wheel drive, switch the tires and use Nickel Cadmium batteries since they work the best.
I tested all of the batteries and the Nickel Hydride was the fastest with 11.32 kmph, then it was the Nickel Cadmium with 11.07 kmph, then the Nickel Hydride Rechargables with 7.76 kmph. Now i will try to make the car lighter and faster by removing parts from the chasis and switching the gear ratio.
The Nickel Hydride Batteries were better than the Nickel Cadmium Batteries. On trial 3 we removed the chasis and the car was faster. Next class I will make the car lighter.
